National Park encompasses the central and the highest part of Lovcen mountain massif and covers an area of 6220 ha. It is located in the southwestern part of Montenegro making the hinterland to Kotor from one side and to Cetinje from other side. The mountain has many škarp (limestone pavement), pits and deep depressions. There are the famous Lovcen serpentines, old houses, log cabins and summer herding settlements. In addition to this rich natural amibijent National Park has an important cultural-historical role. There is a Mausoleum of Njegos, which visit many tourists from around the world every year. From the top of Lovcena is a beautiful view of the Bokakotorska Bay, and on a clear day a part of Italy can be seen.
